FCGP happy to merge with FMA
THE Fiji College of General Practitioners has welcomed the announcement by Government to merge the College and the Fiji Medical Association.
College president, Dr John Fatiaki said this was one of the things members had always wanted.
However, he said that the Medical and Dental Practitioners’ decree 2010 needed to be reviewed first before this could be done.
Finance Minister, Aiyaz Sayed- Khaiyum had announced in the 2016/2017 National Budget last week that they would be holding consultations on the idea of merging the two parties.
